Ho, ho, ho! Christmas time is approaching fast and the first two presents are available for you to open now.  
 
First up we've now got autographed copies of Katharine Blake's album Midnight Flower available through GoMojo Basement. Click on the Shop link above and head for the basement to place your order. Remember to be quick if you want it before Christmas.  
 
The second bit of news is about releases. Brand new functionality has been launched, which allows you to view details about any release known to GoMojo for any artist and to vote for your favourite album in three different categories. The way it works is simple. Any registered user has one vote in each category per artist. You can move your vote to a different album at any time, but you can never vote for more than one album from the same artist in the same category at the same time. The categories are: best album (your overall favourite from this artist), best introduction (the album you would recommend to someone who wants to check out the artist for the first time) and best live recording. The new Releases Info page will show you the winners in each category. There may be more than one if there is an equal number of votes. For most albums you will also get a link to view the latest 10 reviews from Amazon UK and US. Of course you could just jump over to Amazon's site, but the way it works under GoMojo is that you actually see reviews from both the UK and the US sites on one page, if available. The review page also includes links to the album on both sites, so you can easily continue if you're after more reviews or want to buy the album. This was actually a feature from the good old GoMojo Desktop application, which I have ported to the Web site. Note that some albums are only showing UK reviews at this time, but the US reviews will be appearing shortly.
