Welcome to the first Razor GoMojo news bulletin!  
 
On this profile you will find the latest news about what's happening with the site, the application, the idea, the thingybob even, which is Razor GoMojo.  
 
2007 has been a year where new music related sites have been shooting up like mushrooms, trying to grab as many music fans as they can and convince artists that they are the ones that will make them rich through the incredible thing that is electronic distribution of music - they are all going to be the biggest and best. I think it would make sense to try to explain how GoMojo is different. Here are a few things to take note of:  
 
* You are not going to see a site that looks similar to all the rest of them out there. We expect that our users will be human, not sheep  
 
* You are not going to see images of raised fists and "manifests" about how we are here to save the future of music. We are not asking you to join any revolution or fight the established sites etc. It's a fan community for goodness' sake, not a political party!  
 
* You are not going to see user profiles full to the brim with spam banners. On many sites these are tolerated, because the more users you have, the more traffic you can present to your advertisers and the more you can charge them. We'll try to make do with real users who are here to share their thoughts about music, rather than their thoughts about how they can rip you off.  
 
* GoMojo is a small operation run by enthusiasts. It is not the product of a large media corporation. We are not here to compete with the likes of MySpace and Bebo, but to provide an alternative or additional service depending on your needs, which may just have a little more soul. Because we are independent, we can do things differently.  
 
GoMojo is about the music. It's about giving you the tools to find what you're looking for as well as empowering you to share your taste and knowledge with others. We want to see profiles that are passionate about music. We're not looking for profiles along the lines of "hi, I like shopping, I like going out, I like getting smashed...". Come on, we're tired of all that, just tell us about music! By all means make it personal, but this is not a me, me, me type of site. There are other sites out there, which are much better at that.  
 
If you haven't already joined, please do it now and start contributing information about your favourite bands and their gigs and releases. Spread the word. Start the revolution... oh no!
