Hello everyone. This is a big occasion for me as it is my first Katharine Blake newsletter. 
 
December is always a busy month, as the Mediaeval Baebes do their annual Christmas tour of Cathedrals (and a few theatres). Take a look at my Pick of Gigs below for the details.  
 
The Mediaeval Baebes will be debuting some new material alongside many old favorites…  
 
Nick Marsh and I have juggling parenting and gigging around writing and recording material for our duets album which will be released sometime next year. We still don’t have a name for this project, so any ideas gratefully received.  
 
I have been notating my a cappella songbook which will feature all my favorite a cappella compositions from the Mediaeval Baebes repertoire and some others which you will not have heard before. There is also a plan to record all the material at St John’s Church in Hackney.  
 
My new free performance club “Bellissima” has been going really well. The Pangea Project is such a lovely venue and I can bring baby Rosa which is a real bonus. This month’s event is on December 9th and will feature ex Mediaeval Baebe Maple Bee and Sophia Brumfitt from the Bardos Band accompanied by the harpist, Leah Stuttard.
